Update: we're going back to Normandy for a few weeks mid-October until mid November so as to sign the Acte de Vente at the notaries' office on November 7th.

No, I feel we know more than enough about the legalities of all this stuff by now. (fingers crossed). On the other hand we also know enough about French bureaucracy...

We've managed to convince the other two family groups to each buy a half of our third of the indivision at a price which pleases everyone and gets us (in due course) out...

No it's not our only house (thanks for the thought though). We own a now-nearly-fully renovated home about 20 kms from the t'other one.

We met with the Notaire yesterday and are pleased to learn that if we can agree a price with a member of the indivision for our share, we don't need approval of other members to go ahead.
