Err, I think he's right. I'm a mere 65 and I'm fairly certain that there were no Indian restaurants in Newcastle in the early sixties.

It's excellent (if a bit pricey) but don't go there looking for UK style curry.

That's understandable. India is <shock> a big place spanning a huge range of climates and therefore of cuisines.

Actually the main "problem" with Indian places over here is that they are catering for Indians, not Brits.

If you want a proper English Vindaloo, go on holiday.
