Who said they were safe pumping their own gas. If they didn't allow self service during certain hours, there would be no gas as it isn't financially viable to keep the stations open. The convenience...

In counties with a population below a set number (not sure off the top of my head what it is) they switch over to self service at night.

Whatever it is they use here they can't put down once it's raining. It gets washed away. Put it down too soon and it isn't effective. Personally with all the hills around here deciding not to risk...

I take your point, but that sort of thing only gets printed on bills with the acquiescence of the staff. So not quite sure the victim in this case is wholly innocent.

The wind blew a bit more than normal Saturday afternoon. 17% of Portland General Electric customers lost power. We were one of them for 12 hours. Some people still don't have power back yet....
