Parts of Sunshine are surprisingly attractive. I'd personally definitely give Footscray a go. Wish one of my kids would move there, so I can spend some real time in the area.

Just a tip for people reading this and going against the grain..... I'll only provide this the once. Central Ballarat will go like a rocket when people realise they can get to the CBD in 45 mins...

I knew that was close by, at 5 Ks away, but what I didn't realise it's in a direct straight line between us and Essendon airport, so I live under the same flight path. The planes are a lot higher...

Best check out Princess Hill, Northcote, Brunswick Secondary and now Coburg High. Overseas students pay to go to Northcote as private students.

I personally think living close into the Melbourne CBD is some of the best urban living in the world.
