Just learnt on the TV that one of the Auctions in Melbourne yesterday, ended up being held in Chinese. They broadcasted a phone call to ABC radio today from someone in attendance at a house Auction...

Perth booms and busts more than any City in Aus.... In fact it would be interesting to see how it compares to other Cities around the world with a similar reputation.

The next 2 interest rate rises will be the litmus test. Can the new foreign buyers carry the market is the crux of the matter.

Personally I reckon the market will demand much smaller dwellings so as to improve the affordability. Possibly about to see inner urban old brick houses converted into two flats.... as in London.

We've been over this in other threads..... but to repeat it definitely is the Chinese mostly and other new migrants driving the market in Melbourne. So it's your second point.
