Re: Broadchurch and Other UK TV Programs

My favourites of the moment are Silent Witness, Shetland, Mr Selfridge and Call the Midwife along with Father Brown in the daytime.

Re: Broadchurch and Other UK TV Programs

Dr Foster was good. Ray Winstone drama on ITV not bad, ending bit wishy washy. Looking forward to Strictly and Downton Abbey.

Re: Broadchurch and Other UK TV Programs

I agree it was just the right amount of sentiment.

My favourite bit was David Tennant winning his award. He seems very humble and speaking as a female is quite easy on the eye ;)

Re: Broadchurch and Other UK TV Programs

Well despite Broadchurch 2 being panned in the press because of inconsistencies and inaccuracies I am still enjoying it. Also enjoying Silent Witness, Foyles War and Last Tango in Halifax. Mr...

Re: Broadchurch and Other UK TV Programs

There wasn't anything to get me hooked. I like all the actors in it but I felt they didn't gel as an ensemble. Just my opinion of course. Can't like all British drama.

I just can't get into The Missing. It's the sort of programme they could have done in a 3 parter!!

Re: Broadchurch and Other UK TV Programs

I enjoyed Grantchester but can't get the lead actor out of my mind as the nasty piece of work he played in BBC's Happy Valley.

Re: Broadchurch and Other UK TV Programs

I love Sheridan Smith, I think she is a fantastic actress and singer. However, I just couldn't get into Cilla at all. Perhaps I will try another time.

Loving Chasing Shadows and Scott & Bailey.

Re: Broadchurch and Other UK TV Programs

I agree. Bit like Balamory compared to Happy Valley!!!!

Slow start for this one. Going to persevere because it has Philip Glenister and Steven Mackintosh in it so hopefully it will get better.

Re: Broadchurch and Other UK TV Programs

LOVED when Corden met Barlow. What a thoroughly nice man Gary Barlow is. I laughed, cried and sang through the hour. Fantastic.

Re: Broadchurch and Other UK TV Programs

I couldn't get into Hinterland. I've watched Prey and enjoyed it but I think John Simm is a wonderful actor. Watching Happy Valley after dinner :)

Re: Broadchurch and Other UK TV Programs

I tried but Bill Nighy drives me insane to watch on screen so I had to turn it off.

I was about to say that too. Clearly a very good actor as you really felt he was a nutjob!

Re: Broadchurch and Other UK TV Programs

I think Keely Hawes has been excellent in this series of Line of Duty, this week's episode is apparently a corker.

I like Silk too but I think I just perv after Rupert Penry Jones ;)

Re: Broadchurch and Other UK TV Programs

I loved it too. Sheridan Smith is a fantastic young actress as well as Olivia Colman from Broadchurch.

Plus I must be the only person that fancies the pants of David Morrissey :)

Love Sherlock and of course Silent Witness is back. New cast and not quite the same but still enjoyable.
