my brothers best mate has played in goal for norwich, ipwich, millwall and coventry and until you saw his wife (very WAG :D ) you wouldn't realise he was loaded.

exactly, just because he was an ex footballer he was flash. my friend who was the butcher in perth had a fancy V8 5 litre thingy on his driveway and nobody commented on that.

That is why so many people are choosing other places in Australia now. The folk that can afford those kind of mortgages are in the resources industry where people are regularly earning at least $85...

I know the family and they are looking into buying the house. He sold a very successful business in the UK so I don't think funds are going to be an issue.

I know them well and they truly are a lovely family and enjoying life. My Christmas dinner was courtesy of his butchers!

Just watched the Jones and Larners. Glad all is going well for both families but was shocked at the primary school in pacific pines 1200 pupils :ohmy:

To me the second series was silly. Showing them houses they couldn't afford, taking people over that might not have qualified for visas. It was daft. I too have enjoyed the updates far more.

Just watch for the Whelans next week. They owned a butchers shop in Luton. They are lovely people and I am sure all will enjoy their update.

29th January is the Whelan Family who came to Perth. I know the couple well so it is worth watching.

www.uknova.com and www.thebox.bz both have programmes available for download. Takes a bit of faffing around but works well and I watch stacks of stuff from UK TV.

They are filming follow up shows for some of the couples in October. I know the butcher and his wife from Luton who are now in Perth and settled well. They are being filmed for a follow up show.

I think it was the fact you said you WERE the Jones family and your OH WAS a carpet fitter, almost in the past tense. Hutch has obviously had too much VB over East this evening :lol:
