There is no First Class section within an Air NZ Lounge. Mainly because as an airline they do not operate a first class cabin product. Business, PE and economy. The Sydney Lounge is pretty good...

No. The US Dividend miles cost is as per their own charts for *A partners. South Pacific to Europe is 120,000. You are using Aeroplan to check availability only on the *A network, not using Aeroplan...

Non existent. Star Alliance awards in premium cabins on SQ are not available, only economy.

It used to be really bad but it's done much to improve recently. But fear not - really you only have to experience the walk to the lounge ;)

Gifting them is outright buying points to put directly into someones account.

Sharing them is taking your own miles and paying a cent a mile to transfer them to someone elses account.

US airways are not an Amex Rewards Partner so you cannot transfer any points from your Amex card to your dividend account.

However, you could open a Virgin Atlantic Flying Club account and...

The Novotel Airport BKK is excellent, hugely modern with some great bars and restaurants in the impressive lobby. That and being a free shuttle away makes life most easy, although you can simply walk...

Yes, you can fly to the US, however award availability is more limited since you can only really fly Air NZ.

As to getting 5 award seats on same flight in business, no chance at all I'm afraid...

You should be fine with availability providing your flexible. I can see availability for this Christmas over several dates MEL > Dublin never mind next year.

Air Canada brand their business class cabin as executive first when it has the flat bed product on the route. Its actually business class, although a good product in terms of seat/bed.

Air NZ is tricky because you have to find availability in business for both the AKL > LAX and then LAX to LHR (search from AKL not SYD). Both very popular routes for Air NZ's own fliers to redeem on....
