I expect its her dad who is instigating all this as he doesnt want to see all his hard earned go back to the state and wants his kids to have it, which is fair enough.

They can check your dads accounts and go back over a certain period of time to see if "gifts" have been made and to whom. A local authority has the right to seize assets that have been deliberately...
