If I cared about what you thought, I'd say that the ambiguity exists only in your mind... it isn't in the post to which I responded. I'd also say that the dependent clause "before you can work" isn't...

Your take is incorrect. I took issue with the comment that you needed to adjust status before being allowed to work.

True - but it would be an incorrect interpretation.
