Re: MERGED: Spouse Visa Issues with Sheffield +Spouse Visa Chat Thread.

I see a lot of people here saying that it's not used as evidence. I however do not believe that as it's the only evidence we provided with our application of time spent communicating (other than one...

Re: MERGED: Spouse Visa Issues with Sheffield +Spouse Visa Chat Thread.

Oh, I see. Sorry. I missed that. Well, I wouldn't worry. It's probably just an issue they are having with communication between departments. If they said a decision has been made, and you haven't'...

Re: MERGED: Spouse Visa Issues with Sheffield +Spouse Visa Chat Thread.

We were at 50 working days when we received an email saying decision had been made. We did not get an email to say to go and collect the passport, but my husband went the following day and he got his...

Re: MERGED: Spouse Visa Issues with Sheffield +Spouse Visa Chat Thread.

My lawyer said that a priority payment wouldn't make the process any quicker because there is such a backlog - so we decided against it. But I sincerely wish we had, if I'm honest...

Re: MERGED: Spouse Visa Issues with Sheffield +Spouse Visa Chat Thread.

Thanks for your reply as it was a tad more constructive, however I have already made my application, and I was not looking for advice, I was just empathising with someone in a similar situation as...

Time passes so bloody slowly when you're waiting for something... Lol And I haven't even been waiting as long as most of you *Sigh*. Hope some of you get some good news next week!

Re: MERGED: Spouse Visa Issues with Sheffield +Spouse Visa Chat Thread.

So the email was from Manila, and you applied from Australia? That does sound a bit iffy. What's the sender's email address? Is it a legit domain name? Like does it end with .gov.uk?

Re: MERGED: Spouse Visa Issues with Sheffield +Spouse Visa Chat Thread.

Go back to the main board "Citizenship/Passports and Spouse/Family Visas (UK)"

And then click "New Thread" (It's a tiny button) and you can put your full post in there and give it a subject line.

Re: MERGED: Spouse Visa Issues with Sheffield +Spouse Visa Chat Thread.

I take it you applied from Manila then?

It sounds like they were about to tell you to collect but realised there was no passport to collect. It's absolutely shocking, I'm really sorry.

Re: MERGED: Spouse Visa Issues with Sheffield +Spouse Visa Chat Thread.

I take it this is an email from Sheffield? I'm quite confused as they don't have either mine or my husbands passport, so how could they lose your passport?

My passport was verified by a lawyer...

Re: MERGED: Spouse Visa Issues with Sheffield +Spouse Visa Chat Thread.

Oh, it's unfortunate that we live in a world where people feel the need to terrorise others and forge documents.

Because it's the rest of us that are affected the most...*Sigh*.

Re: MERGED: Spouse Visa Issues with Sheffield +Spouse Visa Chat Thread.

As I'm new here, can anyone explain why different countries have different processing times? Seen as they are all being processed in Sheffield anyway. It doesn't make any sense to me...
