My understanding is that it is when your local VO has received your file and starts processing. You may receive a Sponsor approval email and another email stating that your file is being transferred...

ECAS changed to DM when I logged in just after lunchtime UK today. No other changes in GC Key, lines added in ECAS or emails received yet.

I have just received an email with PDF confirming that my UK Outland application will be remaining with CPC Mississauga for processing; I guess that's AOR2 seeing as they already have my application!...

I was unable to link my account until CIC had actually created a UCI for my spouse and given her an application number, however I was able to link it before the AOR1 email arrived.
