Yeah, they're going to submit to the process and wait and see what happens - they're willing to wait until October if it gets approved.

Confirmed! This is exactly what they're intending on doing, so why they put down a start date of April 23rd I will never know. Right hand not talking to left hand I guess.

Well, things have moved along, and I have a job offer in my hand.

The company are going to transfer my L1-B to an H1-B, and have set my start date as 6 weeks from now to allow that process to...

They're going to give this 'little problem' over to HR to figure out. I won't be hearing back until early February anyway, so that gives them a few weeks to get creative within the confines...

TL;DR: I'm here on an L1-B and potentially want to move to another company. My reading around this indicates I have no choice but to transfer to an H1B, and even then if I'm successful I can't do...
