You need to be more firm with your MP. Tell him to ask to speak to a senior manager and tell him you do not want anymore generic responses. Its a fine line but it worked for me. Remember you first...

That is interesting i never put 2 and 2 together that Manila dealt with the final stages of our application. Or did they just stamp it? Maybe sheffield are sending the long outstanding applications...

And just to let everyone know that even the we have our visa the online tracker says number
not recognised. The amount of times i have tried it sometimes twice a day!

Yes thanks scouse look out for my last letter i sent my MP. It is so important to keep pushing and badger your MP at least once per week as the call centre is useless.
