By English speaking expats I guess you mean American, Irish, English, German/ Austrian, Russian, Serbian, South east Asian, etc - so yes there are quite a few of us!

Governments (plural) generally are attracted to the big spenders & struggle with effective schemes for smaller investors. Of course "locals" will always have an issue with new competitors!

CC & Duztee, I think you both made valid points. Like all Countries, Hungary needs further inward investment, to provide opportunities, particularly for the young.

Budapest prices have risen substantially in the last couple of years - obviously that situation will not last for ever.
