It's amazing how everyone seems to get a piece of you on the police checks - whether it's the state bureaucracy or the guy selling fingerprint cards on eBay.

Indeed - pretty clear wording. Sorry to hear California is so difficult on the fingerprinting - I have lived in a few US states and none wanted fingerprinting for their checks.

What is the wording of the question?

In my experience - if they want state checks, they will explicitly ask for state checks (something like "submit police checks for every country you have lived...
