..would recommend you buy a scooter, not a car. Even if you don't wan't to buy it, you can rent for 2,500/3,000 baht a month. Up to you� �

Phuket will be no cheaper than Bkk. But everybody has different "mileage". May be you buy streetfood, I don't.
