Seems they update the pension amount in April and now the site shows I am up to 154PDS a week with 37 years contributions with the additional voluntary I have paid them.

They seem to change their address frequently so its very confusing and inefficient must be terrible for the people who work there.

It takes around four months to get a reply, as I have found and I have been dealing with them for 4 years now.
Also things seem to change time after time. The latest change is to ask me why I sent...

you will not get the FULL pension its will be based on years you have contributed to. So its like 20% for 10years contributions 45% for 20years. Its 35 years for full right now.

I sent them a cheque in November and Feb 8th letter they asked me what was it for????
So make it 100% clear which year its for and what its for. Seems they don't read the file and previous letters...

when you hit 66 apply for the pension and wherever you are on the planet they will send it in Sterling and you get it in local currency....

You need 10 years of contributions to get anything the HMRC web site advises so top it up to 10 years and then get a proportion 10/40 means 25% of the current 156PDS a week.

You can send a cheque in Sterling for any amount and they credit it to your NI number. Best to register for the online service its very easy.
It takes about 4 months for the amount to show up...
