Re: Timeline For Spousal Sponsorship via London

Based on my recent experience:

- definitely do a flagpole / activation trip

- try and do it sooner rather than later

The reason for this is all PR card related. My COPR also came through...

Re: Timeline For Spousal Sponsorship via London

Make a copy of your COPR form for your records.

When you land, present both copies of your COPR. Canadian immigration will keep the copy with your photo affixed to it, annotate the copy...

Re: Timeline For Spousal Sponsorship via London

From the spousal sponsorship FAQs:

"eCAS has changed to Decision Made / MyCIC shows a Decision Made of 'Application approved'... what does this mean?

We get asked all the time about what it...

Re: Timeline For Spousal Sponsorship via London

Thanks Vulcanoid and Siouxie. Is it relevant that on this trip I've in effect only "flagpoled"?

The other difference with me is that when I establish my permanent residence in Canada it will be...

Hi All

I quick update from me: I landed at YVR on 23 December. Landing was very straightforward. I went through passport check in the usual way, and was instructed to collect my luggage, and...

Re: Timeline For Spousal Sponsorship via London

I think sit tight until something arrives in the email (or hard copy post). I had a gap of a couple of weeks between eCas showing "Decision Made" and the next communication (which was "Ready for...

Re: Timeline For Spousal Sponsorship via London

My sponsor received the same letter (although my application was sent to Ottawa). It simply means that the PR application will be processed in the particular office notified.

Re: Timeline For Spousal Sponsorship via London

My experience earlier this year was that there was about a 2 month gap between the request for schedule A and police check, and then the medicals request. It could be that the length of gap reflects...

Re: Timeline For Spousal Sponsorship via London

A bit of an update - myCIC switched to "application approved" today - so that's about one month after eCas showed "decision made". This is what myCIC says:

Application status A final decision has...

Re: Timeline For Spousal Sponsorship via London

The timeframes seem highly variable, with some folks receiving the next communication from CIC within a couple of days of cCas Decision Made, others within a fortnight and still others longer than...

Re: Timeline For Spousal Sponsorship via London

Hi AshMyl

No email for "review your eligibility". The only emails I received were:

- a kind of AOR (link your application)

- request for medicals

The request for IMM5569 came via MyCIC. ...

Re: Timeline For Spousal Sponsorship via London

I checked ecas today and I am showing "Decision Made". That must have come through over the past day or so as I last checked on the weekend. So that's good news, and from the date of application on...

Re: Timeline For Spousal Sponsorship via London

I've had to renew my passport, so will need to inform CIC. I assume a case specific enquiry via the IRCC webform is the right way to do so. If not, what is the correct way to notify my change of...

Re: Timeline For Spousal Sponsorship via London

That's what happened to me. My sponsor got a letter advising the application would be sent to Ottawa, AFTER we'd received an AOR, Sponsor Approval and Request for IMM5569 and Police Certs.

Re: Timeline For Spousal Sponsorship via London

I expect the next thing I...
