I have no idea about the electoral register, but I would imagine that it's something that you apply for if you want to vote, ie no compulsion. You are free to travel and stay wherever in the world,...

Correct. I use my daughters address in UK for my bank to send cards to etc., also for driving licence. Everything else comes to me here in Philippines, including mail from the Pensions Office.

I don't think so. If you're outside UK for more than 9 months each financial year, you are classified as non dom and not liable to pay income tax. Not related to your status in Philippines at all. ...

Exactly right Gazza. I have been non dom most of my working life and continuously since 1982. No UK tax.

I receive my UK state pension directly into my UK bank account tax free.
