You should be eligible if the second delay was mechanical failure. Delay due to bad weather is not any fault of the airline.

It applies to EU based airlines or flights with non EU carriers departing the EU. Do you know why it was delayed? Presumably an aircraft fault?

You should look into the EU flight delay compensation. We were delayed for 5 hours on AC from LHR to YYZ and got €600 each in compensation (more than the cost of the return flights!). Easy to do - we...

In our recent (last 7 months) recce trips we have flown Air Canada, BA (twice) and Air Transat on trips to Canada.
