It's a web page where you can check the status of your application however it doesn't really tell you anything until after you have received any emails....

that's interesting as I had never heard of that before, its hard to not make plans before your visa then only be given a 3 month one limiting your window of opportunity to travel.

Hi I have never heard of a 3 month visa but that doesn't make it so. My husbands was 12 months. I that they seem to be either 6 or 12 months.

We sent in what we had, he has about 4 checks from the last few years including one from October last year and they all say the same thing. My husband went to the police station and they wont do it...

Update, we submitted the forms which they have now acknowledged and the response was if a thank you and we will let you know if we need anything else. I am not sure how much longer this will take...

In our previous trips they have taken my husband on his own. They are also discrete as our kids are teenagers and don't know anything.
