However, it's one of those appreciating assets. ;)

We did buy both the cars with cash at a level of car we could/can afford.

You do realize that in the lease price you are paying for the depreciation value rolled into the monthly payment? :unsure:

Don't finance a car. Simple. Buy a beater and drive that for a few years. Still work out cheaper than a lease.

And adding to PF's point about wells fargo (well, any national mega bank) I would try a small local or regional bank if you can't use a credit union.

Leases are a terrible financial decision. It's depreciation, interest, profit, and everything else rolled into a payment where you get nothing.

If you're going to finance then seek out a credit...
