In our 30 years here we have had four banks some a bit of a farce, we use la poste our UK pension being paid into them and for day to day living.
C.A.for investments and complementary health...

In my mind it depends on your attitude and also how much French you understand, in 30 years here yes we have come up with a few minor problems in three moves, but nothing like some have reported here...

It'll only get better, have been here for 30 years and with all of the problems here in France it's still better than the UK, having just got back from two weeks visiting family and friends over...

Welcome and good luck, having lived here for nearly 30 years I well know how you feel about France, even with all of the present day problems here we will never return to the UK.
