I meant to add that the visa officers would not comment on individual cases in any case because they would not have the full applicant's information and finally, they are busy enough already!

The short answer is no, you cannot call them to advise of a change of address or any other case information. If you think about it you will see that it must be the that way.

With your UCI on file and a covering letter for your application for a change of status you should have no problem with obtaining visitor status until your spousal PR application is completed.

Correct in your case because the sincerity of the marriage was likely the sticking point. eCas is a difficult thing to assess and I am sure it never really tells the whole story in understandable...

Medicals are sent electronically now so the form is redundant. Provided the names and DOB are correct the match is automatic.

It could be just semantics too. If processed in Canada one could wrongly think that made it an "inland" case perhaps.
