Worst case scenario is that you would have your passport even in the job didnt work out and then the next time you have options you are prepared to take it

i would go to the consular and bug them - visit every 2 weeks ... its frustrating i know!!

Thats true, we forgot the exact weight. How did you wife get to the hospital, normal delivery etc.

It's really straight forwards if your paperwork is in good order. Questions about the birth, your relationship, but there are no questions that I was asked that we didn't instantly know....

In Ghana, interview is mandatory and friends who have submitted are on a similar time frame

After 23 weeks we have been called for an interview at the British high commission in Accra. Progress at last!

I am at 21 weeks, so don't expect to have it soon!! There is basically nothing that can be done aside from wait. If you are going to the UK to live then I would suggest you get a energy travel...

I have applied for my son's first UK passport (I am british and his mother is Ghanaian). We applied at the start of July 14 and there is still no progress - roughly 21 weeks so far and counting.... ...

importantly your son will not be calculated in the income threshold... hope that helps
