question in Green Card, not sure if this is the right thread.
i am on E3 and got a job offer from another employer.
the new employer refused to start my green card unless i switched to H1B as E3...

I did mine last month at Ottawa. That's the only consulate which had ipenings at that time.

I just checked my ds-160 status and it says "Administrative Processing".
Is this normal after your interview? shouldn't it say 'Approved"?

note: they didn't ask or collect any other document...

Just came back from my interview at Ottawa consulate for new E3

After the initial formalities, my interview lasted for about 2-3mins. Questions being asked;

I have changed the ds-160 number but i didnt have payment done at that time. So not sure.

Thanks Kriggle. I have already paid for flights and visa fes so i guess this time i will stick with Ottawa. But its good to know that you have had good experience with Mexico in general.

congratulations. the waybill number will be updated in your account where you have made the appointment. i think you will also receive an email.

on a separate note, how is people experience with getting passport in Ottawa? means, if I have an appointment on Tue, what is an average time people are getting their passport by, Thu, Fri?

i agree. I-129 may be safe option but its painfully long. also, your new employer may not want to wait for 3-4 months for you to join. I have the same situation right now. I am in middle of a new job...

one would think so. I have been to Tijuana before and trust me the area arond US consulate there is not so "safe". but will keep looking. Thanks!
