I had a house with tiled floors everywhere...

I didn't have underfloor heating but did have central heating and the tiles were warmed up by that. Like most people I had rugs scattered about the...

How is this different?

You're placing the heat source (?oil filled radiators - they do exist) in the rooms to heat up the air in the room - that's how the room gets warm. Unless you're sitting on...
