Email received from london high commission stating my application for permanent residence has been approved and recommend we apply for Canadian passports for our newborn twins ASAP. Woohoo!!...

Both very helpful, thanks, had an email back today saying I only need to send birth certificates if they are eligible for Canadian citizenship, so a bit of a result. Will get Brit passports and apply...

I presume so?!?

But one thing I'm almost certain of is that they don't need to apply for PR and cost me another 300$.. I now just need to convince immigration of that fact!

Did you already have Canadian passports for the kids as looking on the website it suggests it could be up to 12 months to get proof of citizenship certificate in order to apply for Canadian...

Many thanks, That's what I reckon as looking on the website the charge of 150$ is for additional family members under 22. Well I'm damned if I'm going to send 300$ for no reason. Grrrr very annoying...

Yes, beginning to think we're 'the disappeared'!!!! I'm obviously happy applications are going through but what kind if system are they running when we are not even in process but applications...
