I sent off my additional docs (photos, passport photocopy, prepaid envelope) yesterday. Hopefully, COPR should be in hand within a couple of weeks (fingers crossed!)

They do not have a practice, currently, of refusing people without further document request or interview.

Hi Hurla. The email states that if you are from a visa-exempt country please supply passport copy (I included this in the original bundle but never mind). Also required is a Canada Post paid return...

Passport and photo request yesterday!

I did include two passport photos (taken to specification) and a copy of my passport bio page, however, I guess there is no arguing and I'd better just suck...

Fantastic, thanks. As I included a colour copy in my application, hopefully they will not require me to submit another copy. If they do then it is easy enough to arrange.

Can I just ask, what is the passport request? Do they simply require a photocopy of your passport data page? I included that in my application. Or do they require your original passport?

Does background check in progress mean that they have considered the substantive part of the application (evidence of relationship, etc)?
