You know, the ability to go 24 hours without alcohol proves conclusively that we are NOT alcoholics - although due to social commitements I've had to substitute that with 2 x 12 hour periods :rofl:

Yes, I thinks BEVS is going to be very interested in that. I've now mentioned Yogyakarta to quite a few people and, like me, no-one had heard of it before. Seems to be a well-kept secret.

Just in case there are young children reading this thread - 5 litres of rose wine in one evening is probably a fatal dose of alcohol. Certainly it's enough that death might seem preferable :o

You know, before I started looking for somewhere in Indonesia not likely to be affect by the Mount Ruang ash cloud, I had never heard of Yogyakarta and yet it seems as important to Indonesian history...
