Re: World Cup - Warning, Spoilers may be here!

They really chant that? Man, that is just embarrassing. The whole 'GO USA' mentality here is so nauseating.

Re: World Cup - Warning, Spoilers may be here!

And that's why Van Gaal is a world class manager. He changed his tactics away from beautiful football to the long ball up front and it has paid off in spades! Why Man Utd didn't go for someone like...

Re: World Cup - Warning, Spoilers may be here!

Re: World Cup - Warning, Spoilers may be here!

I wouldn't mind so much if he was actually a good commentator, like the British guys ESPN have been using. But, no. He just doesn't say much and what he does say is moronic rubbish. God bless Radio 5...

Re: World Cup - Warning, Spoilers may be here!

The ESPN commentary is completely AWFUL. The Mexican commentators are terrible. That whole 'golllll' crap annoys me so much.

Re: World Cup - Warning, Spoilers may be here!

See Gary Lineker's tweet. You gotta bury those chances in a World Cup. Roony's effort was not good enough.

Re: World Cup - Warning, Spoilers may be here!

Re: World Cup - Warning, Spoilers may be here!

The Iranian national team might be pre-occupied by the events happening back home?

(That's about the best I can come up with!)

Re: World Cup - Warning, Spoilers may be here!

To be fair, the majority of the work will be counter insurgency, which is usually the responsibility by special forces. Given the Americans are refusing to put troops on the ground, it's gonna have...

Re: World Cup - Warning, Spoilers may be here!

Last time I checked the US was doing sweet FA. Ironically it's the Iranian revolutionary guard that are going to go in and put a stop to this extremists.

Re: World Cup - Warning, Spoilers may be here!

I'm surprised Klinsmann hasn't got them rolling about like they've been hit with a mortar when a player touches them.

But, that said, I'm pleased the USA won today. It's a victory both for them...

Re: World Cup - Warning, Spoilers may be here!

I don't think anyone heard that? I certainly didn't. Indeed, Capello kept with the old guard rather. He also continued to not speak a word of English, neither did any of his coaches.

I agree...

Re: World Cup - Warning, Spoilers may be here!

Re: World Cup

I don't remotely see Spain losing to Chile. England lost their opening game in '66 and still won the tournament. Argentina lost their opener in '90 and still made the final.

So the Spanish...
