We have borough water which is chlorinated to the extent that it taints the tea with a very nasty taste. A simple Brita filter makes it usable, so the filter jug lives next to the kettle and in the...

My peeve is about the lack of capacity on a single use as for me bigger is necessary when I have a cold. The US ones just cannot contain the produced volume.

Be patient.

At nearly 17 our younger son is suddenly not at home 2 or 3 evenings out of 7, something to do with a member of the opposite sex from what we can gather (but they are "just friends")....

Agreed. I'm just about coping with volumetric measurement of ingredients I would normally weigh, but can't be doing with "take one box of yellow cake mix........"

I do drink water out of the Brita jug as our tsp water is not nice and ruins a good cup of tea if not filtered. In the summer I keep a jug of filtered water in the fridge.
