Look BEYOND the price of your "Loyalty Card" to what the travel costs in itself. The British rail companies are rip-off merchants. Take them over. Without compensation.

I have a Concessionary Travel Card. I also have a Disabled Railcard.. Buying a ticket to a station in England from here on the day of travel is still prohibitively expensive. Elderly relatives have...

The crunch for me is the cost of a ticket when you turn up and buy it. Even the best planners in our midst have family emergencies.

Public ownership of the railway network is the way.

Forget cyberspace. Compare the trains. Time for us to get rid of Branson. German Railways are publicly owned. Ours should be too !
