travel tax is usually 1630p for permanent residents so that includes us if we are on the 13a visa. The Balikbayan exempts this as does the normal tourism visa. The penalty is dumb as it is per person...

I am off next week to do my annual 13a review, cost of 310 pesos? Will cost me 4 X that amount to just get there and back again.

i wonder if I should ask them why my last exit clearance of 2380...

Yes being a permanent resident can open doors that may be needed.

I have never invested in Philippine based investments unless my closed SRRV bank account deposit was included. IHT is brutal here...

oddly, i regret getting my 13a. i wish i had gone the balikbayan route.

getting the annual clearance for the 13 a is a pain if you are not in one of the few chosen places that allows the process,...

we did the kota kinabalu run . Two hour flight and no where near the expense of HK or macau. As it is a visa run hotels are not going to be booked for extended periods

have a look at Kota kinabalu, not sure if it goes from Cebu. Does fly from manila.

Have u married yet, if so it will be a cheap balikbayan run for you once a year and no messing with ACR cards etc
