Sorry got it wrong, most expensive coffee over 3 euros at Costa in Faro airport.
There used to be a little cafe used by airport staff, tour reps and those in the Know where it was under E2.00 but...

E1 is certainly at the lower end of the scale, we have paid as low as E.80 and well over E2 on the Fortrezza in Luz, the most expensive coffee to date in the Algarve.

We have not seen any evidence of " overcharging " tourists, there are " tourist bars that local do not use because of the prices and there are bars used by locals where tourists pay the same price....
