Ah, well I was thinking that his parents might be our age, and I remember Indian restaurants in the 1960s. Which doesn't seem so recent to me. 50 years or so.

That's not strictly true. I've worked and lived in areas with high populations of people from India and am used to quality authentic food. I found it once here but then the place changed hands and...
