After The Sopranos, The Wire is my 2nd favorite HBO show. It is utterly brilliant and entertaining. So far, I have seen it 3 times. Can't explain why it is good, watch the pilot and come to your own...

As mentioned above, I thought the 6 episodes of The Hour were very good.
