Re: Tele

Good to know. Do you have a favorite character? So far, I'm relating to the vulnerability of Daenerys.

Re: Tele

I'm surprised you didn't enjoy the final series of The Wire. I totally loved the Baltimore Sun arc.

Re: Tele

After The Sopranos, The Wire is my 2nd favorite HBO show. It is utterly brilliant and entertaining. So far, I have seen it 3 times. Can't explain why it is good, watch the pilot and come to your own...

Re: Tele

Lillyhammer, weirdest show I have ever seen.

Does Netflix aspire to be the next HBO? Only in their wildest dreams I would say.

Re: Tele

As mentioned above, I thought the 6 episodes of The Hour were very good.

I wanted to like this show so bad, but I could not even make it through the pilot.

Re: Tele

I finished The Hour. It was very good.

Just started streaming Sherlock and it looks pretty good. Nice to see Martin Freeman broaden his acting range.

Just finished re-watching The Sopranos for...

Re: Tele

I actually never turn on TV to watch and we have only basic cable. I do, however, watch a lot of stuff that is on TV, but I prefer to buy the DVD or stream it. I will not watch anything that has...

Re: Tele

Am currently watching The Hour on DVD. It's an excellent show and I hope they bring it back for more episodes. (I have a feeling it was a one-off thing though.) Love Ben Whishaw.

Re: Tele

Of course he is, but the way The NY Times wrote the story, there was a lot of emphasis on his Italian roots. Anglo-Italian is probably an incorrect way to describe him though. Interesting guy,...

Re: Tele

I've never seen The Thick of It/In the Loop. I'm fairly sure that earlier in the thread I said I couldn't find these shows anywhere to watch them. I think I also said that I had never heard of the...

Re: Tele

I bailed out of that show months ago.

I must say the British women in the shows are absolutely guastly. There was a Brit in RHODC and a Brit in one of the other shows I bailed out of. Both of...

Re: Tele

My favorite is the two lesbians who run the bookstore. It was hilarious when Steve Buscemi had a role as a customer.

Re: Tele

That show was a huge snooze.

Anyone seen Portlandia? A very strange quirky show, but quite amusing.
