Re: Movies - 2018 Strikes Back

When I read about this, I thought it would be a 5th Element style thing; weird but very cool.

Re: Movies - 2018 Strikes Back

I loved the sound and visuals in Blade Runner 2049. The sound especially, that film needs a good sound system and sub.

Re: Movies - 2018 Strikes Back

7 pounds is one of the most moving films I've ever watched.

50/50 was also very good.
I'll have to check out the intouchables.

Re: Movies - 2018 Strikes Back

Re: Movies - 2018 Strikes Back

Things must be weird around your way if this was only 'a bit weird'...

Re: Movies - 2018 Strikes Back

Yeah I think the predictions of technology are great in star trek but probably way off for the 24th century considering so much of the tech we have now!

I love the quality of the cgi, I've seen...

Re: Movies - 2018 Strikes Back

By gritty I mean the story lines have more substance and less idealism than the previous series. With the war and people dying, heavy losses and the like. It makes me feel more engaged.

The use...

Re: Movies - 2018 Strikes Back

I think it's the writing that let's it down. This one is done by Simon Peg and you can tell. I like him, but he's a comedy writer and not right for this in my opinion. I'd be interested to know what...

Re: Movies - 2018 Strikes Back

I really didn't like the third one.
It didn't have the tension and grit of the first two.

Re: Movies - 2018 Strikes Back

I watched Snowden last night, that was very good. I already knew the story as its one I've followed for years but it was a good eye opener for my girlfriend.

Joseph Gordon-Levitt is such a truly...

Re: Movies - 2018 Strikes Back

I watched this, I liked the subject matter and felt it had a lot of good points. I think the film was potentially targeted at teens though as that's how it felt in places. Some of the script was very...

Re: Movies - 2018 Strikes Back

No I didn't walk out in the film, I watched the film but I meant I walked out after the film not really caring about the next film.

Hopefully the Solo film will be good. a Boba Fett one would be...

Re: Movies - 2018 Strikes Back

Expanse sounds interesting, I'll keep an eye out for that. I think it has been on UK Netflix, it may still be. I have definitely seen that name before.

Re: Movies - 2018 Strikes Back

The new Star Trek Discovery series is great! I'm also a Star Trek fan, but from TNG onwards.

The new Star Wars films follow on from the original three (1977 onwards) but have been disappointing....

I know it's not real and I shouldn't be so invested... but I love the Star Wars universe!

Re: Movies - 2018 Strikes Back

Star Wars for me was a 4/10.

I walked out of the cinema not really caring about what would happen next, which is the first time this has happened in any Star Wars. Even with the prequels being...
