Just make sure that you document absolutely everything. Email, not phone calls. Call me a cynic, but they might be waiting for you to leave without making contact with you - because experience...

I think you're doing exactly the right thing. You need the inspection, you need evidence, and a signature that you agree. Get a receipt for the 50 euros as evidence that the inspection...

I'm really happy it's worked out well for you. Mice are a big problem here in the old houses (so lovely to look at, so impractical to live in).
