re: Timeline For Spousal Sponsorship via London & Inland

It should take about 7-9 days. That's to Toronto.

When you say you got a 'decision email' you mean they told you by email a decision had been made right? To be honest this means very little, I...

re: Timeline For Spousal Sponsorship via London & Inland

April-June in 2012 were the slowest applications. Some taking close to a year. So it really depends if this was a one off or if it was due to 'seasonal' factors...

If he could log into ECAS he will see the exact same update. If you have a file number or something he can use that. I'm not entirely sure how you get this as the applicant because I (the...

re: Timeline For Spousal Sponsorship via London & Inland

I don't know if you've ever been to Niagara Falls but you've got one of the most beautiful natural sights on the planet surrounded by some of the biggest tack you've ever seen. Like a mini-Vegas...

Romo

- Congrats on the good news!

- Jim covered the administrative refusal. It's legally the equivalent of a piece of paper that says 'this person left Canada' rather than anything official.

re: Timeline For Spousal Sponsorship via London & Inland

It means they have matched your medical results (which are stored in a centralised database) to your file. This means most likely the file is in London.

Timeline from this status to DM varies...

re: Timeline For Spousal Sponsorship via London & Inland

Doesn't seem odd in the slightest to me. Reading my GCMS notes my file was sitting around doing nothing till I emailed them and they sent a reminder for someone to look at it...

Orly - if you've already submitted a Case Specific Enquiry you just reply to that email (it should have your file number in the subject line). If you've never done a CSE through the website then...

re: Timeline For Spousal Sponsorship via London & Inland

You should be fine. Where are you in Canada? I know that to Toronto the COPR is taking around 6-8 days.

The main thing to keep an eye on is ECAS. Most times if you get the change to DM on ECAS...

re: Timeline For Spousal Sponsorship via London & Inland

Awesome congrats! Good timing!

My advice: wait a few days (maybe till next Wed) and see if either (1) ECAS changes to DM or (2) the COPR arrives in the post. If neither of these happens email...

re: Timeline For Spousal Sponsorship via London & Inland

One other tip. Take some online courses or any other courses you can find. The main reason a company will want to hire a Canadian over you is they know the 'local market' more. If you can show...

re: Timeline For Spousal Sponsorship via London & Inland

Pat.Sue - Yup you can get a TWP with the LMO. It won't affect your PR at all, all you'll have to do is when your PR arrives take a trip to the US border to exit Canada and come back in as a PR -...

re: Timeline For Spousal Sponsorship via London & Inland
