Re: Tele

I gave up on 24 a few seasons ago, however watched this due to the location. Still the same appalling plot and script. Pleasantly surprised by Stephen Fry as the PM, distracted by the apparent...

Re: Tele

Just a shame CBS can't seem to show it on schedule. I've given up trying to record on DVR, have to wait till the next day and watch on-demand.

Re: Tele

I think the way the plot has turned has really made it interesting now, new dynamics everywhere. Plus split loyalties - who do you cheer for when former allies are on opposing legal teams?

Re: Tele

I think that's probably sensible tbh. The Song of Fire and Ice books were pretty "specialist" and won't have had wide readership pre tv series. Just because a plot point was first published 13...

Re: Tele

Yes, but that limitation is surely longer than 12 hours after the show first aired, and this is not a dedicated GoT thread! You've got to allow for people who have recorded and not watched it yet. ...

Re: Tele

When I got to what is now referred to as "The Red Wedding", I threw the book across the room and refused to pick it up for another couple of weeks, I was that cross with GRR Martin.

Re: Tele

It reminded me of Terra Nova, and that didn't last long either. We need a decent new Sci Fi telly series - all the effort is going on film.

Re: Tele

Yes, I'm enoying it through my fingers, although I can't say I recognise any of "Richmond, Virginia". Kevin Bacon and James Purefoy, how can you go wrong?

Not seen this week's episode yet.

Re: Tele

I've been enjoying The Following. Its well acted and the storyline is still keeping me guessing. And it's not as gory as all the "this show requires viewer discretion" notices each ad break would...

Re: Tele

I quite liked it, golden boy being a bit of an unlikeable anti hero who bends the rules to get the results he wants. The flash forward bits were poor writing I think, but it has potential.

Re: Tele

Yes, they didn't like the (brilliant) pilot so they made them make another episode as the first one, with more bangs and whistles etc, and showed the pilot at random later on.

The problem with...

Re: Tele

Blimey O'Reilly, thought the pilot was a bit clunky but was willing to give it a go, mainly because it had Anthony Edwards and Scott Michael Foster. But three episodes?

It's a symptom of the...

Re: Tele

I'm quite enjoying Continuum on the SyFy channel. As it's set in Vancouver I'm presuming its Canadian. :-)
