Re: Health insurance - open enrollment - 3 days left.. should I wait?

Re: Health insurance - open enrollment - 3 days left.. should I wait?

I don't know if the OP will be able to buy...

Re: Health insurance - open enrollment - 3 days left.. should I wait?

Ask any more questions along the way, and good luck with it all! Any idea when your SSNs will turn up? (I don't know what the consular processing you mention means for timescales on receiving them.)...

Re: Health insurance - open enrollment - 3 days left.. should I wait?

Another thought - did you get your Social Security numbers when you were over in December? If not, you'll want to file for an extension on your 2016 tax return turn, to allow time to get here, get...

Re: Health insurance - open enrollment - 3 days left.. should I wait?

As soon as you arrive and trigger your immigrant visa, they have to have an address for you, and you need to let them know every time you move, within 10 days, until you are a US citizen. When we...

Re: Health insurance - open enrollment - 3 days left.. should I wait?

You've presumably filed a USCIS AR-11 form with a US address on it. The powers-that-be understand you to be resident now for legal matters such as taxes, healthcare, etc. You don't live in the UK any...

Re: Health insurance - open enrollment - 3 days left.. should I wait?

Hmm, tricky about the address. Which address are USCIS mailing your Green Cards to?

Any visitors/ tourist insurance would be rendered invalid by you being a resident in the US, and would almost...

Re: Health insurance - open enrollment - 3 days left.. should I wait?

I agree with Pulaski. You have already immigrated - the fact that you then chose to go to the UK for a long 'holiday' is irrelevant. As a Permanent Resident, the only way to be exempt from buying...
