Correct, correct, correct, wrong.
Window.
The offset is the plane narrowing, so your row is straight, the row in front is turned in slightly..... so the window seat has boat loads of leg room.

T5 at Heathrow was good when I landed there once. Very smooth exit and I liked the flow of the airport...

It's the overwhelming noise and disastrous lack of manners of the tour groups or big crowds etc that makes me think I just won't enjoy it.

What make of tyre did you buy?
Do you know how old they are / when they were made?

Seeing as you've got a BMW, 4,400 doesn't seem too bad, assuming they're fairly low profile / on big rims etc.
