I've been there. Next time you're in DC you'll have to look me up. We can get completely shitfaced, barge in for a curry and more than a few loud pints. It'll just be like being back at home.

Define "recent". I was eating in Indian restaurants in the UK over 30 years ago.

That was my initial introduction to Indian food when I was at uni. However, I've had many good Indian meals in the UK afterwards where I was not actually smashed out of my head. :)

I think there are good Indian restaurants in Canada including in Toronto. As I said before, I think the difference between Canada and the UK is that the good ones are in a small minority in Canada....

Yeah there are a few. The difference in Canada (and the US too IMO) seems to be that you need to go hunting for the good ones. In the UK, the good ones far outnumber the bad.
