10th July - email from London requesting I send in my RCMP check (was FedEx delivered 14th June) after telling them they definitely had it somewhere...

My RCMP police check arrived by FedEx in London on June 18th. Can anyone give me an idea of how long it takes to hear after this point?

So I'm still waiting for my RCMP police check to come back - I'm in a fairly remote area of ON for the summer so all the police stations could only offer a paper application, which will take 4-6...

I think the turn around for an RCMP check is around 5 days once you get the fingerprints taken from a police station.

From what I've read then as long as my police check is ok (no reason why not)...

Short answer, yes. But obviously I don't understand the complexity of your situation. Based on a complete form that is accurate and causes no trouble with CIC then I think you'll be ok.

Happened to me too, takes a while before you can access the information online. I couldn't get onto mine for a few weeks after I got my sponsor approved.

Mine ran out already, was kinda hoping that my PR would come by the end of April, but oh well. Have got a TWP to entertain myself with starting in a few weeks.

You can definitely apply to the visa office in London, and you should! It's much faster, the only 'potential' drawback is if in the unlikely situation that they decide to request an interview then...

Decided it wasn't an option because I figured if I had to spend close to $800/900 bucks to fly home and then back in again when I had PR, then I could probably wait out the period between IEC visa...
