Royal Brunei don't serve alcohol, but they don't mind you taking your own on board (or they didn't when I flew with them back around 1998). Not sure how this works these days with the 100ml limit on...

Buying miles - you only do that when they are running a 2 for 1 offer, otherwise it isn't worth it (unless you need a few to top up your account).

Booking flights - phone up US Airways and tell...

I had a similar problem last year: Thai cancelled a flight and US rebooked me on the same flight number the next day, which would have resulted in missing a connection in Sydney. Thai Brisbane...

Simple answer - you won't! We flew first Sydney-Rome and back London-Sydney earlier this year, and I just can't imagine doing the same journey in cattle class. Thai all the way and the service was...

As Louie said, it depends on the booking clerk you get. I've had large problems with one Dividend Miles girl, phoned back to a different girl and nothing was too much trouble.

Alternatively, just make the two separate bookings, and then get the carrier airline to list them as being together.

Are the two accounts in the names of the travellers?

Any news on the change from Star Alliance to OneWorld? I'm putting off buying more Dividend Miles until I know how I'll be able to use them (next Europe trip not until 2015 at the earliest).

Enjoy the experience - we did and we were on 747s! I particularly liked the "Shall I make your bed up for you sir?" bit!

I have always booked tickets on Thai from two separate DM accounts (mine and my wife's): US Air make two separate bookings but once the Thai references are received there is no problem phoning Thai...

having flown Thai to Europe both business (2 years ago) and first class (this year) I can categorically state that if you change to first class you will think the cost of flying to Sydney was worth...

We flew to Sydney from Brisbane in order to have first class seats on Thai (and to spend Easter with my wife's family) and paid (I think) about $18.50 (on Qantas) each way for each bag over the one...

How do you work that out? Even allowing for airport and booking fees and the falling $ they shouldn't be more than $2650 a ticket.

For Business Class the miles themselves will cost US$2100...

You have to be a member (of Dividend Miles) for at least 12 days before you can buy miles so sign up ASAP - no cost is involved.

No, still no First out of BNE - we flew out of Sydney after spending Easter there with the in-laws. Brisbane just happens to be where we started from!
