Re: Tele

If by "did" Life On Mars, you mean wrote a couple of episodes then yes he did ;) . They were good episodes though.

Re: Tele

Been enjoying The Mighty Boosh on Adult Swim. Very funny, especially if you like something a bit weird and surreal. Great songs too...

Looks like the US version of Life On Mars has been axed.

Re: Tele

Everything i've heard about that show makes it sound like a blatant ripoff of Hustle. But if it's only half as good, it'll be worth watching.

Re: Tele

Have I Got News For You started a new series on Friday, but if you're going to try and get it from one of the usual places, then it's well worth waiting a day, and then getting the extended version....

Re: Tele

I swear I must be the only person who think the US version of The Office, isn't a patch on the original. And I say that as someone who can't bloody stand Ricky Gervais.

Re: Tele

I'm hoping the exchange rate gets good enough for me to be able to order some stuff from amazon.co.uk again. I've have shows like Ashes To Ashes, The Mighty Boosh, Gavin & Stacey, and Lark Rise To...

Re: Tele

Stephen Fry In America starts on BBC1 tonight, which should interest a few people here. So hopefully one of the usual sites will have it up before too long.

Re: Tele

I think I must be the only person who just can't get into House. USA network was running a House marathon last weekend, and I swear every episode had exactly the same plot.
The missus loves it...

Re: Tele

Most of my TV watching is through sites like UK Nova or through On Demand. I'm enjoying Gavin & Stacey and Top Gear at the moment, and will watch Primeval if i'm bored.
I don't see much in the new...

Re: Tele

Not telly shows, but I can highly recommend a few Radio 4 shows. In particular Down The Line, which is a spoof radio phone in show, and quite possibly the funniest thing i've heard in years. Also,...

Re: Tele

Not much at the moment. Mock The Week is quite funny, and New Tricks is usually quite good. I tried watching Bonekickers, but it was a bit crap TBH.
One or two things coming along in the autumn that...

Re: Tele

Apparently Harvey Keitel has been cast as Gene Hunt in the US remake of Life On Mars, which does make the show sound a little more interesting. Although for many there will only ever be one Gene...

Re: Tele

It's the second series, which I don't think BBCA has shown yet. There is a spin-off show starting on the Beeb next month (I think) for those who want to continue getting their fix of the genius that...

Re: Tele

It's going to be weird to see an actress from Eastenders playing the main character though.

Re: Tele

Sci-Fi is showing it in the summer apparently. I'd have to disagree with the "fairly bad" comment, but each to his/her own I suppose.

Re: Tele

I'm living in hope that the ABC remake of Life On Mars isn't a complete waste of space, as The Office proved that the US can do quite a good version of a British show if they try.

Re: Tele

Not a Doctor Who fan?
