Asking such questions will never help you as it never did to any....if you're very curious about such things, please ask your CO to get at least some reasonably valid reply, if you can get.

Your checks/routine processing has taken extraordinary long times so in my opinion, you better take your case to Ombudsman. I think you can, at least, get some valid info of your case by sharing...

Dear Fraz,
Of course you can request your case officer to put your case on-hold till the birth of the baby. I personally think that this should not complicate your case as most of the formalities...
