We needed to get at least a year of living together and sharing bills, accounts, insurance etc. before we could apply for PR. So the total time taken was a month shy of 2 years.

We didn't get an email either, and got the same message as you. You've probably been approved! Our letter took two weeks to arrive after the decision made date.

They don't all need to be signed. I don't remember exactly but I think we only signed 1 or 2 of them. Someone else is bound to know for sure though.

I think there's more to it than that. Possibly those who applied earlier got caught up in the strike chaos and those who applied later got lucky and had their applications looked at after the chaos...
